CCCU e-Campus event focusing on Communication

Time:
8:34am - 8:34am
Date:
Wednesday 3 June

We are delighted to share with you that tutors from Canterbury Christ Church University’s Centre for Language and Linguistics are hosting a fantastic virtual opportunity for your students, which is completely free to attend. The event will focus on how the right kind of knowledge of language and communication can support their development, both within the world of work and their studies.

The virtual event is taking place on Wednesday 10th June, 11:00-13:00.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in a range of online workshops, covering key aspects of language and communication such as Personal Statements/Application Letters, Cultural Barriers and Workplace Communication. There will also be the chance to speak to current Canterbury Christ Church University students about their experience.

There is also a great opportunity for accompanying teachers to be involved in a Q&A with our tutors to discuss the implications of the material and contribute ideas for future events.

Whilst the day is led by the Centre for Language and Linguistics, linked to it’s BA English Language course, students and staff from any subject area are welcome to attend. The virtual event is ideal for current year 12 and 13 students; however, year 10 and 11 students are also invited to attend. Please see the document at the bottom of this email for the full event schedule.

We would love for you to share this opportunity with your students and associated teachers, each of whom can book onto the event by visiting our webpage below and completing the relevant booking form. Those who complete the form will receive a confirmation with further information about how to join the virtual event.

Please note: Should you wish to involve a large number of students in this event as a group (for example, a whole class), please contact SCE@canterbury.ac.uk to request a bulk booking form for you to complete with the students’ details & return. Upon completion of this bulk booking form, we will then provide the webinar link, removing the need for each student to book on individually.
