CPD at The King’s School – open to all EKST colleagues

All welcome but best to sign up early due to capacity. When attending these sessions please report to Mint Yard Gate, CT12ES and ask to be directed to the Schoolroom.

Thursday 16th January 5pm led by Alex Fryer – IT Happens – Alex will be in to work with the 6th form this week and so will run a staff session as well on this evening www.ithappens.education

Thursday 23rd January 5pm – Unifrog – especially useful to all Life Matters teachers – but open to everyone. The session will demonstrate the PSHE and Careers resources which are available for use via this platform.

Tuesday 4th February 3 -5pm – Eating Disorders: this will be a talk on the kinds of eating disorders and disordered eating that we work with here at school and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions about how we can best work with our young people. Let by Dr Annie Cardinal and Dr Olga Garrard from the local Eating Disorders unit

Tuesday 11th February 5pm – Pausitivity #KnowYourMenopause campaign led by Elizabeth Ellis founder of www.50sense.net

Thursday 5th March 5pm – Gambling/Addiction Awareness led by Patrick Foster from EPIC risk management

Tuesday 17th March 5pm  – Mood and Food: the emerging area of ‘psychonutrition’ led by Alanna Fraser
