The EKST Globalist Poetry in Translation Competition 2019 is open to students who have translated a poem into English from any language.
The aim of the competition is to widen the appreciation of poetry and to help see the world from the point of view of others, as well as appreciate the beauty and complexity of other societies. Being able to capture the beauty of a great poem in a new language is amazing.
To enter, simply e mail your entry to (your school Globalist editor) as a Word document:
o Page 1: The original poem, title and poet
o Page 2: Your English version with your title, translated by (your name)
The poem does not need to be long, but must be your own work
The deadline to email your entry to your school coordinator is 9am 15th March
