Globalist Journal Photo Competition

The Globalist Journal is an online magazine that aims to allow students to practise their linguistic skills outside of the classroom, and express themselves freely.

Have a look at the website to see entrants and winners to past competitions – www.globalistjournal.co.uk

Our first competition for the academic year 2019 – 2020 is a Photo Competition with the theme of ‘CHAOS’.

It is well worth entering, because of the prestige, it being great for your CV/personal statement and also because there is an Amazon voucher prize for the winner and runner up.

The deadline for the competition is Monday 14 October.

If you’d like to take part:

    1. Choose a photo you’ve taken yourself recently
    2. Interpret the theme ‘CHAOS’ in any way you see fit
    3. Send your photos to your Globalist editors in-school

Remember to:

  • Add your name
  • Give your photo a title in a modern language and then translate the caption in to English for editing purposes
  • State the details: who, what, where and when in a modern language

Pictures should be sent as JPEG, PNG or TIFF and must be less than 5MB to your teacher who will submit them into the competition on 14 October.

Enjoy taking the photos and good luck.
