During the next few months The King’s School has a series of varied talks and events coming up that are free and open to pupils, parents and staff of local secondary schools. Below are a few examples of what is coming up and for a full list of events and to book click on the button below.

22nd January Kerry Brown Professor of Chinese Studies and Director of the Lau China Institute at King’s College, London discusses What Does China Want?

29th January Peter Martell, journalist, former BBC reporter will speak about his critically acclaimed book First Raise a Flag: How South Sudan won the longest war but lost the peace.

4th February Dr Georgina Longley will give a talk looking at the fascinating historical evidence that images on ancient coins can give us.

11th February Environmental educator Dr Clive Nuttman will talk about ecotourism in Africa and Madagascar

12th February Chris Field, Head of private equity at Dechert LLP will deliver a talk about Big Law, the rise of private equity

25th February Film maker and writer Matt Dickinson will speak about the 1996 Mount Everest disaster described in his book Death Zone: Climbing Everest Through The Killer Storm.

25th February a Club Hispano talk – a great opportunity for A level Spanish students to attend a lecture entirely in Spanish.

28th March a careers talk providing guidance and advice for those wishing to studying at university outside of Britain.
