Everyone’s Responsibility: Focus on Safeguarding

Building and maintaining staff resilience, wellbeing, and confidence led by Dr Sue Soan

This sessions is for Heads, senior leadership teams, designated safeguarding leads, staff wellbeing leads.

Every September safeguarding policies are revised to reflect the latest DfE guidance, and training is undertaken to revisit and update school processes and staff roles and responsibilities. The additional impact of the pandemic on families, pupils and students’ wellbeing is expected to be seen and felt in schools for a number of years and much is already in place to support these needs.  This session however aims to help you explore whether your institution’s safeguarding policy and processes also considers staff resilience, wellbeing, and confidence as they attempt to support the young people and colleagues through this academic year.  Particular focus will be given to:

  • the monitoring of safeguarding processes, outcomes, and impact
  • staff safeguarding issues including staff / student relationships
  • staff supervision
