EKST Anthology Launch

Date/Time:
Wednesday 1 July, 1:30pm - Monday 1 June, 3:00pm
Location:
Solly's Orchard

We are celebrating the launch of the East Kent Anthology Project with a picnic-style gathering, hosted as part of the Canterbury Unlocked festival.

This new anthology is a professionally published collection, on Amazon KDP, bringing together original prose and poetry from talented student writers across our partnership. Every piece in the book offers a unique response to the landscape and culture of East Kent.

What to Expect:

Welcome: Hear from the projects leads: Professor Carolyn Oulton (Poet) & Course Director, and Danny Rhodes (Writer) & Course Director from Canterbury Christ Church University.

Student Readings: Listen to the young authors read excerpts of their work.

Orchard Writing Workshop: Participate in an interactive creative writing session inspired by local history and outdoor surroundings.

Book Presentations: Watch the student contributors presented with their very own copy of the finished book.

Who is Invited?

We warmly invite staff, fellow students, and the families of our student writers to grab a picnic blanket and  join us in the sunshine to celebrate the incredible writers. This celebration is being held in an open, public space, so please extend the invitation out to others.
