An interview with David Alton examining the remit and workings of the House of Lords, politics and current affairs. The format will be a one-to-one interview as well as an opportunity for the audience to ask questions directly of Lord Alton.

Lord Alton of Liverpool is a Crossbench Life peer who has sat under this title in the Lords since 8 July 1997. Prior to joining the Lords, he sat in the Commons as an MP, and was first elected in 1979. He is a visiting professor at Liverpool Hope University: author of twelve books; serves on the House of Lords International Relations Select Committee; chairs the All Party Groups on North Korea and Pakistan Minorities; and is vice chairman of the APPGs on Hong Kong, Burma, the Rohingya and Uighurs.
