EKST is delighted to confirm that plans are underway to progress the fantastic new Art project across the partnership with huge thanks to our supporters for enabling us to run this.
Wonderful news: 8 of our secondary school partners have now signed up to take part with students from Year 10- Year 13 participating. The title of the year-long project is ” Connection, Place, Belonging” which will have as its overarching theme the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals- particularly with a nod to SDG11). Students will of course be free to consider this as they see fit in their own work led by the artist Kathryn McArdle who worked with us previously on the amazing Print Pilgrimage project.
Paired workshops should be kicking off in September 2025 with updates to follow.
Confirmed schools are as follows:
St. Anselm’s Catholic School, The Abbey School, King’s, St.Edmund’s, Archbishop’s, Kent College, Herne Bay High School and St. Lawrence College. Thank you so much for everyone’s support and brilliant to have you all involved. It will be as light-touch as possible for the colleagues signed up as we know how busy everyone is.
Huge thanks again to CCCU for enabling us to exhibit students’ work at the Daphne Oram Gallery next June (2026!).
