The Partnership Choir

Time:
2:00pm - 4:30pm
Date:
Saturday 28 April

EKST students will have the fantastic opportunity to take part in the Partnership Choir this April. An event that reflects the partnerships aims of increasing student’s confidence and well-being. The students will be brought together to rehearse with experienced choir-leader and performer, Lemon Otter for an up-beat and lively session with modern songs.

The Partnership Choir information:

Students Ambassadors from CCCU will support and attend the rehearsals and event and each school will have 12 students from Years 9 and 10 take part.

The rehearsal sessions will take place on the following days:

19 April for St Anselms and St Edmunds at 1.45pm at St Edmund’s School

20 April for The King’s School and Folkestone Academy 4.30pm at The King’s School

27 April for St Lawrence and Spires Academy at 1.45pm at St Lawrence College

Students will be required to attend the second and final rehearsal on Saturday 28 April at 2pm in the Shirley Hall at The King’s School, Canterbury followed by a brief performance at 3.30pm at which family members, teachers and friends are invited to attend. Refreshments will be provided for all participating and attending.

Please note that there is no parking at the school but there are lots of car parks nearby and with the event being located in central Canterbury we hope that the students will be able to be dropped off at 2pm and then families/friends can go for a shop/walk whilst they rehearse and come back for the performance at 3.30pm.

To find the Shirley Hall access The King’s School through Mint Yard Gate (CT1 2EZ) and once through the gate, take a sharp right and follow the alley way. The distance from the gate to the hall is approximately 50 meters. The closest car parks to Shirley Hall are St Radigund’s and Pound Lane.
