HSBC: Budgeting for University – financial capability session

HSBC are keen to support our young people’s wellbeing by helping them to learn about managing their own money for the first time when they leave school and are planning to go to University. There is lots to pay for and so learning to budget, some tips for saving money etc… will be key to their financial wellbeing and reducing stress:

Costs will include:

  • tuition fees
  • rent for accommodation
  • household bills such as gas, electricity, water and broadband
  • transport costs
  • food
  • course materials
  • extras like birthdays, Christmas holidays and one of purchases like a laptop

This session will take place online and is open to all sixth form students at our schools. Students will need to be accompanied by a teacher/support staff member during the session.
