For 2019-2020 we are launching a peer mentoring programme (Year 12 to mentor Year 11 students in other EKST schools).
This training event will be for the mentors from each school (a maximum of five from each of our seven schools) and the session will be run be experts from Herne Bay High School and Canterbury Christ Church University. There will be some ice-breaking elements to help students from the different schools to mix, and information on safeguarding, communication, listening skills and the next stage where they will be matched with a mentee.
- Mentors will be matched with mentees from another school
- Mentors will help support Year 11 mentees with study skills such as organising files, time management and revision technique, and might help with English, Maths or Science
- Application for Year 12 students to be mentors is here: application form
- The application form needs to be submitted by the 6th September 2019
